Mercedes NOx Sensor Delete SCR/NOx
NOx sensor faults on Mercedes spark AdBlue warnings, limp mode and the no-start countdown. I come to you in Stoke-on-Trent and across Staffordshire to test, repair, or apply a safe software-only delete — usually same day most weeks.

What your Mercedes NOx sensors do
Your Mercedes uses two sensors (pre/post SCR catalyst) to measure NOx and guide AdBlue dosing. When a sensor drifts, the ECU flags faults and ramps up warnings.
- Seen on A/B/C/E/S/GLA/GLC/GLE/ML, Vito and Sprinter.
- Typical codes: P2200–P2204, P229F, P2BAD, often with P20EE.
- Related causes: weak AdBlue pump, blocked injector, exhaust leaks before the catalyst, aged SCR cat, or old ECU software.
Symptoms you’ll notice
- AdBlue light, “Emission” message, engine MIL.
- No start in XXX miles countdown.
- Limp mode, rough running, poor mpg.
- AdBlue smell or heavy use (over-dosing).
If the countdown hits zero, the van may not start. I can reset this on site during repair or delete.
Fix options — repair or delete
- Dealer-level diagnostics — code read, freeze-frame, temps, pressure, live NOx before/after cat.
- Targeted repair — NOx sensor(s), injector clean/replace, pump/line flush, leak fixes.
- ECU software update — where dosing maps are improved by the maker.
- NOx/AdBlue delete (software-only) — permanent switch-off when repair isn’t viable. No cutting or drilling.
You choose the route. I explain costs and outcomes first.

Mercedes NOx — FAQs
Will a software delete remove warnings and the no-start countdown?
Yes. The AdBlue/SCR strategy is switched off in software, countdowns are cleared, and related faults don’t return.
Can you repair instead of delete?
Of course. If you prefer to keep the system, I test sensors, dosing and the SCR hardware, then repair what’s faulty.
How long does it take?
Most repairs or a delete are finished within an hour on your driveway or depot.
Is hardware removed?
No. This is a software-only solution. Nothing is cut or drilled.
