Most of the city hangs off the A500, the "D-Road", which links the M6 at junction 15 near Hanford and junction 16 near Talke. Its junctions for the A53, A5006 and A52 sit close to Hanley, Etruria and Stoke-upon-Trent, so a van that throws a warning on the commute rarely has far to limp.
The A50 runs east from the D-Road towards Derby, passing under Meir in the Meir Tunnel. That makes Longton, Meir, Blurton and Weston Coyney straightforward to reach from either end of the city.
If your vehicle drops into limp mode on the D-Road or the A50, come off at the next junction and stop somewhere safe: a side street, a car park or your yard. Send us your location and a photo of the dash and we will take it from there.
