Stafford is the county town and has two motorway junctions of its own: junction 13 for the south of town on the A449, and junction 14 for the north on the A34. Junction 15 further north takes the A500 towards Stone and Stoke.
Stone sits on the A34 and A51, bypassed by the M6. Eccleshall is on the A519, about five miles from junction 14. Gnosall is on the A518 halfway to Newport, and Hixon is just off the A518 and A51 east of Stafford.
