Rugeley sits on the edge of Cannock Chase, on the A51 between Lichfield and Stafford. Abid comes to you, in town, at Brereton, Armitage or on Towers Business Park, and finds and fixes AdBlue faults on site.
We come to homes, workplaces and car parks across Rugeley and the villages around it.
Rugeley town is WS15 1 and WS15 2, and the villages round it are WS15 3 and WS15 4. We cover them all.
The A51 runs past Rugeley on a bypass that opened in 2007, linking Lichfield and Tamworth to the south with Stone, Nantwich and Chester to the north. Towers Business Park fronts the bypass.
The A460 comes up from Wolverhampton through Cannock and Hednesford, crosses Cannock Chase and ends at the A51 north of town. The A513 leaves the A51 at Brereton for Armitage and Kings Bromley, and heads north-west towards Milford and Stafford.
The A460 over the Chase is quiet and wooded, with nowhere to get a vehicle seen. If a warning comes on up there, pull in somewhere safe, such as a forest car park, and send us your location.
Rugeley is a small town with big roads either side: the A51 bypass and the A460 over the Chase. The nearest main dealers are out of town, so a warning light usually means booking a slot, arranging a lift and losing time.
We save you the trip. Abid can come to a house in Brereton or Etchinghill, a unit on Towers Business Park or Power Station Road, or a safe stopping place on the edge of the Chase. He finds the real fault, explains it and fixes it there.
Rugeley B power station stopped generating in 2016, and its cooling towers came down in 2021. The site is now being turned into a new neighbourhood of homes, a school and a country park.
Lea Hall opened in 1960, the first modern mine built by the National Coal Board. Towers Business Park now stands on the colliery site.
Rugeley sits on the north-eastern edge of Cannock Chase, and the Birches Valley Forest Centre is on the town's side of the forest.
